Ukraine Claims Long-Range Strikes on Russian Defense and Oil Facilities
Ukraine says it carried out a series of long-range strikes against Russian military and energy targets overnight in response to continued Russian attacks.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Ukrainian forces targeted two defense plants in Russia’s Tula and Voronezh regions, while Security Service of Ukraine units struck oil facilities in the Krasnodar region.
Other targets were hit in the Kaluga and Oryol regions, which Zelenskyy said Russia uses to support drone attacks against Ukraine.
Ukrainian forces also conducted operations against Russian military positions in the Bryansk region and reported striking a target in the Black Sea.
Zelenskyy said Ukraine would continue using its long-range capabilities to push the war back toward Russian territory and called on Moscow to stop escalating the conflict.
