Ukraine says long-range drones struck oil refineries deep inside Russia
Ukraine says it carried out a new series of long-range drone strikes targeting Russian energy infrastructure far behind the front line
According to Ukrainian officials, the operation hit the Saratov Oil Refinery in the Saratov Region and another oil refinery in Tatarstan. Ukrainian forces also reported strikes in the Voronezh Region and Bashkortostan, with some targets located up to 1,500 kilometers from the front line.
Kyiv said the operation was carried out by the Unmanned Systems Forces, Special Operations Forces, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), and military intelligence, describing the strikes as a response to continued Russian attacks on Ukraine.
Russia has not officially commented on the reported strikes, and the extent of the damage has not been independently verified.
