Ukraine strikes Russian oil refineries in Omsk and Ukhta with long-range drones
Ukraine has carried out strikes against oil refineries in Omsk and Ukhta, extending its campaign against Russia’s energy infrastructure deep inside Russian territory.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said the Ukhta refinery, located approximately 1,900 kilometers from Ukraine’s state border, was hit by An-196 RS drones with a reported range of around 2,500 kilometers.
The Omsk refinery was targeted the previous day using FP-6 drones, described by Zelenskyy as modified FP-1 systems.
Zelenskyy also reported a strike on another data center, describing the operations as a response to Russia’s attacks on Ukraine.
The full extent of the damage and the impact on refinery operations have not been independently confirmed.
