UKRAINE: THERE IS NO LONGER A SAFE REAR FOR RUSSIA
Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense has issued one of its clearest statements yet on the country’s long-range strike strategy:
“There is no longer a secure rear in Russia. Every enemy factory, warehouse or transport working for the war against Ukraine is our legitimate target.”
The statement followed another night of coordinated strikes against military-industrial and logistics targets deep inside Russia.
According to the Ministry of Defense, Ukrainian Defense Forces successfully struck:
💥 Kirov — A defense-industrial enterprise involved in the production of components for Russian weapons systems was hit. While specific damage assessments are still emerging, facilities manufacturing components are often difficult to replace quickly because they occupy critical positions within Russia’s military supply chain.
💥 Tyumen — The Antipinsky Oil Refinery, nearly 1,900 kilometers from the front, was reportedly struck. Preliminary analysis indicates that a deep diesel fuel purification unit and parts of the refinery’s fuel storage infrastructure were damaged, targeting fuel production that supports both civilian and military logistics.
💥 Yekaterinburg — Reports indicate that a major logistics hub came under attack. Located roughly 1,700–1,800 kilometers from the front, the strike demonstrates Ukraine’s expanding ability to reach strategic infrastructure deep inside the Russian interior.
💥 Rostov-on-Don — A fuel storage facility was reportedly struck. Rostov is one of Russia’s most important military logistics centers, serving as a key hub for fuel, rail transport, command facilities, and supplies supporting operations in southern and eastern Ukraine.
💥 Caspian Sea — Ukraine also reported striking a Russian warship along with vessels transporting military cargo from Iran. If confirmed, this would represent another attempt to disrupt the flow of military equipment and supplies reaching Russia through the Caspian transport corridor.
Taken together, the targets reveal a deliberate operational strategy.
Rather than concentrating on a single category of infrastructure, Ukraine is systematically targeting the systems that enable Russia to sustain a prolonged war: defense manufacturing, fuel production, logistics hubs, transportation networks, and military supply routes.
The Ministry’s message leaves little room for ambiguity.
Ukraine is no longer waiting for the battlefield to come to it. It is taking the fight to the factories, refineries, warehouses, and transport networks that keep Russia’s war machine running—wherever they may be. 🇺🇦
