Ukraine Trains New Generation of Fighter Pilots in Canada
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said he met Ukrainian military pilots currently undergoing training at the International Test Pilots School in Canada.
According to Zelenskyy, the pilots are preparing to operate modern combat aircraft, including F-16s and Gripen fighter jets, as Ukraine seeks to strengthen the capabilities of its combat aviation.
He said the training is aimed at improving Ukraine’s ability to protect its airspace while ensuring its pilots are highly skilled and capable of effectively operating the new aircraft.
Zelenskyy also expressed pride in what he described as a new generation of Ukrainian pilots and thanked Canada, the instructors and the training center for their support and the quality of the training.
