Ukraine Urges UN to Increase Pressure on Moscow Amid Deadly Russian Strikes
Ukraine has urged the United Nations to intensify pressure on Russia after nearly 100 Ukrainian civilians were reportedly killed in Russian strikes over the course of one week.
Ukrainian representatives presented the figures during an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council, calling for concrete measures to protect civilians and bring the war to an end.
Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha warned that easing sanctions against Russia could encourage Moscow to continue its military campaign and prolong the conflict.
Kyiv is calling on the international community to maintain pressure on the Kremlin and strengthen efforts to prevent further civilian casualties.
