Ukrainian Drone Attack Sets Ruchyi Oil Depot Ablaze in St. Petersburg
A large-scale Ukrainian drone attack sparked a fire at the Ruchyi oil depot in St. Petersburg on October 18, as multiple energy and industrial facilities came under attack across the region.
St. Petersburg Governor Alexander Beglov confirmed that fires broke out at the depot, the city’s oil export terminal and industrial warehouses during the overnight assault.
The Ruchyi facility is a separate petroleum storage and distribution site, distinct from the St. Petersburg Oil Terminal. The full extent of the damage and any impact on fuel supplies remain unclear.
