UPND ASSURES INDEPENDENT MPS OF EQUAL DEVELOPMENT SUPPORT
UPND Spokesperson Cornelius Mweetwa has assured newly elected independent Members of Parliament, including those in Mwandi, and other constituencies, that they will not be excluded from government development programmes.
Mr. Mweetwa says President Hakainde Hichilema has a record of working with independent MPs regardless of their political affiliation.
He says government will continue distributing development projects equitably across all constituencies, without discrimination based on how an MP was elected.
Mr. Mweetwa cited Mwandi MP-elect Iris Kaingu, who contested as an independent after failing to secure UPND adoption, saying political differences will not affect government’s development agenda.
He says government remains committed to improving the lives of people across all constituencies.
