UPND DEMANDS RECOUNT IN DAG HAMMARSKJOLD PARLIAMENTARY SEAT
The UPND in Dag Hammarskjöld Constituency is calling for a recount of votes, alleging discrepancies in two of the 40 wards.
Returning Officer Philip Kalima has announced that the demand follows results showing UPND’s Ernest Lufunda with 5,294 votes, 26 votes behind NRPUP’s Ezra Tembo who won with 5,320 votes.
Mr. Kalima has however stated that only the courts can authorize a recount.
