UPND RUNNING ZAMBIA LIKE PROSTITUTION – MPUNDU

THE United Party for National Development (UPND) is running our country like prostitution business where the woman is the only one judged for the act while the male partner is left scot-free, Nkana Member of Parliament Binwell Mpundu has said.

Mpundu said there were many UPND officials who had amassed massive wealth but government was using the Proceeds of Crime law to only target those in the opposition.

Speaking on his Facebook page, Mpundu said former Kabushi Member of Parliament Bowman Lusambo had been unfairly treated.

He said the action by the UPND would haunt them forever.

“It’s like in prostitution where only the woman is found guilty and the man is left scot-free. The UPND cannot say Lusambo cannot own a house after serving as minister and member of Parliament for many years,” Mpundu said.

He said only the opposition members were thieves in Zambia while everyone in the UPND was an angel.

“Time settles all matters, and the proceeds of crime cases will haunt the UPND. Using the Proceeds of Crime law to oppress others, particularly those of the opposition and those with divergent views. My assertion is that the proceeds of crime law is a useless law,” Mpundu said.

He said once he was elected President, he would repeal the proceeds of crime law.

“This I want to repeat, I hold very strongly that when I am in charge of this country, this is a law that I am likely to scrap off because for me, it is an irrational piece of legislation . It’s archaic. It’s basically a law that is used to oppress others,” Mpundu said.

“The Proceeds of Crime law is a useless law. Now there are times in Zambia and it has become very evident that certain laws are enacted not for the common good of the Zambian people but certain laws are enacted because the enactors of those laws and the movers of such propositions are targeting individuals,” Mpundu said.

  1. The TIZ recently named several key government figures in corruption scandals. KAWANA, MUCHEENDE AND MILNER were named, yet Hakainde carries own doing his Freemasonry dance singing kwenyu kwenyu, while his heard are clapping.

Let us vote these thieves out of office.

    REJECT TRIBALISM, CORRUPTION AND OPPRESSION.

    VOTE FOR CHANGE IN 2026.

      • Lizard, it is expected that you will vote as you always do in Southern province. You always vote for your own. That is fine, my brother.

          • Lizard, it does not matter if you are from Namwala, Mongu or Sesheke. You will vote like you always do, that statement is not tribal, my brother.

But do comment on what I have shared about TIZ naming your leaders in corruption scandals, yet your messiah is busy doing the Freemasonry dance. That is what separates a mere cadre from a patriot. You have become too used to selective justice and your birthright immunity that you are approving illegality as long as it is being committed by one of your own. That is wrong, my brother.

  2. He behaves like his late BOSS! No brain ukulya mwibala like he even knew how to farm. He was more invested in corruption and stealing. The Malanji robbery has all the finger prints of apabombele Lungu!

  3. Fortunately Mr. Mpundu you will never be president of this country. We need the proceeds of rime law. In every country in the world there are corrupt people in government and outside government. I am not from Southern, Western or Northwestern Province, but i prefer the current government continue. The alternative is too ghastly to contemplate.

  4. The remarks made by Benwell Mpundu are superficial and lack substantial evidence to back these unfounded claims. It is regrettable to witness numerous individuals from the PF condemning the arrests of Bowman Lusambo and Joseph Malanji. Firstly, do these people understand corruption and misappropriation of public resources and the negative effects it has on public service delivery and economy of our country?

If the UPND government is indeed engaging in selective justice, why do they not identify those implicated in corruption allegations and present them to law enforcement agencies along with supporting evidence? As long as individuals like Benwell Mpundu continue to make baseless assertions, we will regard them as jesters and mere political rhetoric. The UPND government, along with the leadership of President Hakainde Hichilema, deserves recognition and support for their efforts in combating corruption and other illicit criminal activities.

Citizens and opposition political parties should focus on methods to bolster the battle against corruption by improving transparency, refining the regulatory and institutional framework, and enhancing the capacity of the Judiciary and law enforcement agencies. Additionally, there should be an increase in funding for these entities to effectively manage corruption cases.
