Zambians must not expect much national development in the 2nd term of President Hakainde Hichilema and the UPND government.
Firstly here is what to expect: UPND government and President Hichilema will be more preoccupied with shrinking our democratic space further by making sure that the opposition is completely erased on the Zambian soil! They will concentrate on arresting opposition leaders, supporters and citizens in general critiquing the UPND government and secure convictions for them in court.
And secondly here is what to expect: The UPND will be preoccupied with an overhaul of Constitution Amendment to give more powers to the Presidency and hold to power. Top priority of the Constitutional Amendment Clasues will be to amend the Constitution;
1. Remove 2 term Presidential term limit of 5 years each to unlimited 5 year terms. Meaning that a sitting head of State will nolonger be restricted to 2 terms of of 5 years each but can seek a 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th term of office for as long as he/she wants to continue running for the presidency and supported by his political party.
2. Remove the running mate close giving the winning President powers to hire and fire the Vice President unlike the current Constitution were a running mate is voted together with his/her Presidential candidate
