US Military Faces Growing Financial Pressure From Iran War, Report Warns of Potential Pay Shortfalls

As President Donald Trump accuses Iran of failing to pay its soldiers, a new investigation by The Guardian reports that the war in Iran is placing severe financial pressure on the US military itself, raising concerns over potential pay shortfalls for American service members.

According to the report, the US Navy is facing a major budget crisis following the enormous cost of military operations across the Middle East. Pentagon officials have reportedly redirected money from accounts intended for military payroll in order to cover the cost of urgently needed munitions and fuel.

An internal memorandum reportedly warns that the financial move could expose US service members to serious short-term pay shortages if the funding gap is not quickly addressed

Military leaders are now reportedly seeking an emergency funding increase from the US Congress to rapidly close the growing financial deficit and prevent disruptions to military pay and operations.
