US President Donald Trump reminds Amb Frank Mutubila of late President Michael Sata as political researchers have discribed Trump as strong, arrogant and confrontational.
He writes
From the womb of my mother, I was, in many ways, tailor made to be a democrat. My father was a Reverend and my mother a simple housewife whose life was anchored in Christianity. Perhaps that upbringing explains my lifelong admiration for leaders such as Barack Obama, Nelson Mandela, Kenneth Kaunda in his earlier years, Julius Nyerere and Samora Machel, leaders who, in different ways, represented humanity, dignity and a politics larger than themselves.
Then came Donald Trump. It is one of the great ironies of my political journey that I have found myself fascinated by a conservative who appears to operate from an entirely different political manual. Trump can be impulsive, abrasive and confrontational, yet somehow his approach produces political results. From his battles with judges and the media to his confrontational foreign policy rhetoric and willingness to challenge established conventions, Trump has certainly rewritten the script of presidential politics.
Political researchers have described Trump as strong, arrogant and confrontational. In some ways, he reminds me of the late Michael Sata. Both could project a steely and abrasive exterior, yet behind that political armour was a softer side. Perhaps that is one of the contradictions of leadership, the difference between the politician the public sees and the human being known by those closest to him.
We still have another two years of Trump’s unpredictable presidency, and predicting what comes next may be an exercise in humility. But perhaps that is precisely what makes him fascinating. He challenges conventional assumptions about leadership, power and political behaviour. And unlike Manchester United, whose unpredictability has become painfully predictable, Trump still has the capacity to surprise us

Just keep quiet if you have nothing relevant to to say. You can’t see that Trump is just a tyrant and a psychopath, spending billions of taxpayers money on uncalled for war in Iran with his cohort in Israel, bullying other nations with tariffs and terrorising Greenland and Venezuela. What planet are you living on?
Bwana, Trump is is just a tyrant and psychopath, period. It saddens me that you can’t see that.
I can now agree with Field Ruwe, Frank Mutubila is not a Journalist. What is he even talking about? A man who says one thing and a few seconds later he changes his mind has attracted the admiration of Frank Mutubila. Frank do some basic research and see the corruption this man is involved in. Listen to what he used to say about other Presidents. Do some reading Frank or go back and spin some vinyls as a DJ.
There is nothing admirable about Trump. If anything he has contributed immensely to the decline of the USA. The infamous January 6th raid on Capitol Hill, the very seat of American democracy will be a blot on the US.
He foolishly started the war with Iran and now doesn’t know what to do. By the time he exists the US presidency, the country will be damaged beyond repair and China will have the edge. Very soon, the US will be playing catch up to China.
