US searching worldwide for Iran-linked assets
Scott Bessent said Friday that the United States was searching worldwide for assets linked to Iran’s government, adding that recovered funds would go to Iranians and Americans harmed by Tehran.
“It has been a privilege to be a part of, as we’ve gone from Epic Fury to economic fury, to constrict, on your orders, the Iranian regime’s financial tentacles all around the world,” Bessent said during the televised Cabinet meeting at Camp David.
“On your orders, we are searching for their assets all around the world,” he added.
