US YIELDS TO IRANIAN DEMANDS WHILE TEHRAN DISMISSES THE DEAL AS WEAK

Iran’s top security chief Mohsen Rezaei declared that the United States accepted some of Tehran’s seven conditions for reopening the Strait of Hormuz and restarting talks, but called the American response inadequate.

Rezaei stated that Iranian diplomacy has permanently changed and things will never return to the way they were before. He noted that previous rounds of negotiations ended with the United States walking away, so Iran will no longer accept the old model of diplomacy.

The conditions Iran put forward include ending military operations on all fronts, releasing frozen assets, lifting the naval blockade, removing sanctions, withdrawing US forces from the region, paying war reparations, and stopping threats.

Rezaei said the Americans agreed to some of these points through intermediaries but left others unclear. He added that Iran will not open the Strait or negotiate further until the remaining issues are resolved to Tehran’s satisfaction.

This comes after months of conflict in which Iran closed the Strait of Hormuz and the United States maintained a naval blockade. Rezaei framed the partial US response as proof that Washington must accept Iran’s terms rather than the reverse.

He also warned that any further American action would be met with strikes on US assets in the region.
