USS George Washington Prepares for Potential Conflict With Iran
The crew of the U.S. aircraft carrier USS George Washington is reportedly preparing for potential combat with Iran as the carrier deploys to the Middle East as part of the U.S. military effort to strengthen its maritime pressure campaign against Tehran.
The George Washington is expected to replace the USS Abraham Lincoln, which recently left the region after spending 286 days at sea.
The deployment comes amid reported concerns over the Lincoln’s crew, including mental-health pressures and deteriorating conditions aboard the carrier.
Both carrier deployments form part of the broader U.S. military posture aimed at increasing pressure on Iran and supporting Washington’s maritime operations in the region.
