🇿🇲 BRIEFING | Veep Begins Luapula Tour, Pledges Week of Community Engagement

Vice President Dr W.K. Mutale-Nalumango has begun a week-long working visit to Luapula Province, where she is expected to engage traditional leaders, civil servants, the clergy, marketeers and local communities while monitoring the implementation of government programmes.

Announcing her arrival yesterday late afternoon, Dr Mutale-Nalumango said the tour will take her to Chienge, Nchelenge, Mwense and other districts as part of the New Dawn Government’s continued outreach across the country.

“These interactions provide an invaluable opportunity to listen to the aspirations, concerns and ideas of our citizens while assessing the progress being made in delivering the New Dawn Government’s development agenda,” she said.

The Vice President said the programme will also include radio interviews and public meetings aimed at strengthening what she described as the partnership between government and citizens.

“I am grateful to the people of Luapula Province for the warm welcome, and I look forward to our engagements as we work together to build a more inclusive, prosperous and united Zambia,” she added.

The visit comes as the UPND intensifies its nationwide campaign, with senior party leaders fanning out across key provinces to complement President Hakainde Hichilema’s presidential campaign ahead of the 13 August General Election.
