VEEP NALUMANGO SAYS UPND WILL SEND ITS DEPUTY SG TO MUNDUBILE’S PARTY
“WE WILL SEND HER TO MUNDUBILE’S PARTY!”
That was Vice-President Mutale Nalumango’s response in Parliament after UPND Deputy Secretary General Gertrude Imenda questioned why Government was not using the reported US$6.5 billion reserves to cushion the high cost of fuel.
Imenda said fuel was too expensive and called for measures to ease the burden on Zambians.
But Nalumango’s response took an unexpected political turn, telling Parliament that they would send Imenda to Brian Mundubile’s party.
Mundubile had previously argued during the election campaign that the reserves should help cushion the high cost of living.
