A FEMALE STUDENT STEAL K9,500 FROM LUSAKA TAXI DRIVER.
A Lusaka-based taxi driver was left in tears after a female student allegedly stole K9,500 that he says was meant for cash deposits.
In a video that has since gone viral on social media, the visibly distressed driver is seen crying as he pleads for the return of his money.
The exact circumstances surrounding how the student allegedly obtained the cash and what happened to it remain unclear.
In the footage, the taxi driver can be heard appealing to the woman, saying:
“Mwaiche, how did you spend all the money? Just give me back my money, please.”
One of the men accompanying the driver then suggests taking the matter to Riverside Police Station.
“Drive back. We are going to the police now. We won’t beat you or harass you. We are law-abiding citizens, and we are taking you to the police.
We won’t even touch you. We have kept your belongings, including your wig, here. We are also recording everything so that you don’t accuse us of rape,” he says.
