THE DEPUTY Inspector General of Police, Bonnie Kapeso, has expressed disappointment with the PF carders who had disturbed business at the Margistrates Court Complex this morning when they were giving solidarity to Dr Chitalu Chilufya who is facing corruption charges.
In an audio which has since gone viral on various media platforms, Kapeso is heard complaining that carders are behaving as if they want to take over as police officers so that police officers can go into the villages.

“I really shudder to think. Really, do these carders want to be police officers….us we go in the villages where we came from……(sic) some of us came from the village! Do they want me to go in their village where I should become DIG or do they want me to be in Zambia….in Lusaka and be director operations? Do they want the Inspector General of Police to go back to Mwinilunga and then start working from there and then they take over the country as party police officers. This is rubbish! I don’t want…. and I don’t think we should entertain this kind of nonsense”, complains Kapeso in an audio.

And the DIG has sternly warned that if carders are going to appear at the courts in the next adjournment of Dr Chitalu Chilufya’s case, he’s going to remove their legs.

“If next adjournment…..I will be there as DIG operations. Let me see any political carder come, ‘nkabafunya amoulu’ [ I will remove their legs]. Let me see any political carder go to the Margistrate Court. I will be there personally as DIG operations. We need sanity in this country. There’s no one who is above the law. There is no law where the law says carders must do whatever they want. I am paid to arrest. Even if I disable you, I will be paid for disabling you”, vows Kapeso.
