HICHILEMA MUST RESIGN AND HAND OVER POWER TO RIGHTFUL WINNER, SAYS MSONI
All Peoples Congress (APC) President Nasson Msoni has called on President Hakainde Hichilema to resign and respect the outcome of the August 13, 2026 General Elections by peacefully handing over power to the rightful winners.
Mr Msoni says Mr Hichilema should emulate the example of Zambia’s three former Republican Presidents who peacefully relinquished power after losing elections.
He argues that President Hichilema clearly lost the 2026 General Elections, accusing him of resorting to constitutional amendments and efforts to remove presidential term limits out of desperation to remain in power.
Mr Msoni says Zambians have a collective responsibility to uphold a culture of peace and pass on the same values to future generations
He further argues that Mr Hichilema still has an opportunity to leave office peacefully, restore his standing as a statesman and dedicate his experience to addressing other important continental challenges where his expertise could be valuable as a former Head of State.

The bitterness and malice this chap holds will one day kill him.
HH won the August 2026 elections.
If you don’t like the outcome, talk to the people who ushered him into power.
