I HOLD NO GRUDGE AGAINST ANYONE – FORMER PRESIDENT EDGAR LUNGU

Zambia’s Sixth Republican President Dr. Edgar Lungu this morning joined the rest of the country to observe this year’s national day of prayer, fasting and reconciliation at Shalom Embassy inter’ ministries in lusaka’s garden house area.

This year’s national day of prayer, fasting and reconciliation fell under a theme ” Building Zambia for Greater Development Through Prayer and Hard-work.”

In an emotional turn of event, founder of standing in the Gap team and oversea leader of Shalom Embassy inter’ ministries Apostle Sunday Sinyangwe asked the congregation to stand and prayer for the only surviving former head of state Edgar Lungu and his family.

“The Lord shall keep him for us, what we are doing is prophetic, in the bible, the book of Proverbs and Luke, says children obey your parents in the Lord.

Honor your father and mother which is the first, commandment with a promise, so that it shall be well with you.It shall never be with us if we don’t respect the nation of Zambia,” Apostle Sinyangwe said

He further asked President Lungu to forgive the youths that abused, booed and insulted him at the national heroes stadium in August 2021 after he lost power to the current President Hakainde Hichilema.

And responding to the request by apostle Sunday Sinyangwe, President Edgar Lungu said he held no grudge against anyone.

“Today, it’s supposed to be a day of reconciliation, prayer and fasting. I believe Zambians through out the country are on their knees reconciling with one another.

And may I take advantage of this occasion to simply say it openly, I hold no grudge against anyone and therefore, if there is any perception that I’ve held a blessings of Zambians, please may God release that perception that am holding back there favor and grace.” President Lungu said.

The former head of state further slated that he had a clear conscious and asked the country to pray for him as he prayed for the nation in return.

The former head of state was accompanied by former Livestock and Fisheries Ministry Hon. Greyford Monde, former DMMU national coordinator Chanda Kabwe, former Copperbelt province permanent secretary Bright Nundwe, Kabwata constituency strong man Danny Yenga and lusaka based lawyer Celestine Mukandila among others.

  1. A very hypocritic human being he thinks pipo can’t see his deeds. If u don’t hold any grudge against anyone how about the pipo you officially excluded frm yo govt- frm western,n/ western and Southern province. meanwhile u were eatig and stealing their tax paid money together with your wife and yo children. U ar such a shameless thief mr lungu..

  2. They all never hold grudges while in opposition. At least that is what they tell us.

But once elected as president, mamama!

Politicians are all the same. No shame. All thieves. And I mean all of them, especially that one.

  3. Mr. Lungu is in serious campaign mode. If he truly goes to church to worship, why can’t he stick to one particular congregation and be a member so that he can be held accountable?

Why does he move with a retinue of PF officials when he visits these churches? He is supposed to be accompanied by his security detail ony.

This man is on a serious comeback trail. Unfortunately, he is misusing the name of God to further his political agenda, in defiance of the third commandment – you shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God.

He should do the right thing and come out in the open about his political ambitions instead of drawing tax payers money under the pretense of having retired from politics.

But God cannot be mocked. Mr. Lungu is sowing the wind and he will reap a whirlwind. God does not like cheats.

  4. I’m amazed, I must say. Seldom do I encounter a blog that’s equally educative and entertaining, and without a doubt, you’ve hit the nail on the head. The issue is something not enough people are speaking intelligently about. Now i’m very happy that I found this in my search for something concerning this.

  5. This man is very unhonest , remember his time used to pretend as if he doesn’t want violence while underground he could encourage violence this shameless man.Edgar lungu you are very stupid and idiot chikala iwe you almost divided the country because of your gymnastics types of ruling. The man who promoted tribalism, nepotism , favoritism , corruption , cadrism and police brutality Plus land grabbing.Education it was useless our children could prefer to joining cadres because at that time in PF it had a value.Edgar lungu you killed these people Mugala, vasper, mapezi, kasongo, Kaunda, matapa, menyani, Lawrence and nsama nsama.Remember gassing mwana waimbwe iwe.whoever supporting this criminal Edgar lungu is the son of the bitch.

  6. It’s October, the month in which we observe our independence anniversary. Let’s be nice to each other. It could become a culture if we’re lucky.

  7. This Pastor is PF with all the PF adverse mentality. He was out of order with his speech directed at Lungu. Who told this Pastor that Lungu was being abused? Lungu got rich in the shortest time after assuming presidency. He was alone when he was wrongly amassing wealth. In the end he amassed so much wealth hat he started hiding some with his children and wife. We the people of Zambia want some of that wealth we ca easily get back through the courts because Lungu’s family has no immunity. In due time, the buildings he has abroad and the cash lying in other countries should come back to Zambia when immunity will be removed. How can a thief have grudge against the owners of the property he has looted? Please Pastor be careful next time you talk about things you have no knowledge of. It looks like you are the only Zambian who does not know how how Lungu and his henchmen corruptly looted government resources.
