MAZABUKA CROWD RAISES HANDS WHEN ASKED IF THEY WILL FOLLOW GARY NKOMBO BY HICHILEMA.
United Party for National Development (UPND) supporters are disturbed after a video clip emerged showing a crowd attending President Hakainde Hichilema’s rally in Mazabuka raising their hands when asked if they would follow Gary Nkombo.
President Hichilema asked the crowd whether they would follow Gary Nkombo, who he alleged is working with Brian Mundubile, and many people raised their hands.
However, UPND supporters have expressed mixed feelings, with some arguing that the crowd may not have heard or understood the President’s question.
“Nkombo has been working with Mundubile. That is why they both use a light. Mundubile uses a lamp, while Nkombo uses a candle, which means one thing,” he said.
“But you people of Mazabuka, do you want to follow Gary Nkombo? Let me see the hands of those who want to follow him,” he asked, after which almost the entire crowd raised their hands.
Realising that the crowd may have misunderstood his question, President Hichilema quickly asked those who would support the UPND to raise their hands, and the crowd kept their hands raised.
