MUNDUBILE MIGHT SELL THE COUNTRY IF YOU DON’T DONATE TO HIS CAMPAIGNS, SAYS BINWELL MPUNDU

National Reconciliation Party for Unity and Prosperity (NRPUP) Presidential Affairs Chairperson Binwell Mpundu says Brian Mundubile might be tempted to “sell the country” if Zambians fail to support his campaign through donations.

Mr. Mpundu said that if Zambians do not contribute towards Mundubile’s campaign, he could be forced to seek financial support from people with interests that may not be in the country’s best interest.

According to Mpundu, many business people who would have supported the party have allegedly been incapacitated, making it difficult to mobilise the resources needed for the campaign.

“Protecting our vote is our remaining activity, and this involves a lot of money which we may not have. That is why, if we leave our president vulnerable, he will end up going to money lenders.

“This is the stage where someone can sell the country just to have money, but we will not allow that. It is the reason why we want to help him mobilise resources.

“I am making this call to Zambians to help our president by donating any amount. The donated money will go a long way and will be put to good use,” he said.

Speaking in a short video broadcast shared on his page, Mpundu said the party had faced numerous challenges during the campaign period. He alleged that the government confiscated party president Brian Mundubile’s passport to prevent him from mobilising campaign resources from outside the country.

He said limited financial resources, coupled with the inability to use helicopters, restricted the party’s campaign activities and prevented it from reaching all parts of the country.

Mpundu said that despite the challenges, the party managed to campaign in some areas using resources mobilised internally by its members.

Yesterday, NRPUP presidential candidate Brian Mundubile shared on his Facebook page, “Brian Mundubile,” an initiative calling on citizens to contribute funds towards what he described as “a people-driven campaign.”

Following the announcement, citizens have started making donations to the movement, with some sharing screenshots of their voluntary contributions.

The party yesterday launched the fundraising initiative and announced Nrpupfundraising.com as the official website where those wishing to support the campaign can make their contributions.

  1. No one will force Mr. Mundubile to sell the country. It is a choice he will voluntarily make with no cohesion at all.

This looks like a gimmick to launder illicit funds and pass them off as massive support from the citizens.

This Mr. Mundubile is a danger to our country.

  2. Just think of the audacity of even saying what Mpundu has just said. Mundubile is up for sale. He has to gain power by any means necessary. Whoever helps him is the one he is going to govern for. It also means that the connections Mundubile has are for traders in political influence for inimical purposes, not people who believe in the ideal of service to the people. He keeps wrong company.

So in the end we have to conclude that Mundubile believes in nothing. He has nothing that can make him put the interest of Zambia first. The highest bidder takes all, for him.
