MUNDUBILE SUPPORTER THROWS SAND AT POLICE OFFICER IN MONGU.
A supporter of Toonse Pamodzi Alliance presidential candidate Brian Mundubile was captured on video throwing sand at a Zambia Police officer during a tense incident in Mongu.
The confrontation reportedly occurred as police officers intervened amid rising tensions between Toonse Pamodzi Alliance supporters and UPND supporters.
According to accounts from the scene, police had moved in to separate the two groups and prevent the situation from escalating.
UPND supporters alleged that Mr. Mundubile’s entourage was carrying firearms and other dangerous weapons.
During the standoff, one Toonse Pamodzi Alliance supporter was seen throwing sand at a police officer while officers attempted to restore order.
Despite the provocation, the officer remained composed and continued carrying out his duties without retaliating.
