VJ URGES VOTERS TO TURN OUT IN NUMBERS
Veteran politician VERNON MWAANGA has urged registered voters to turn out in large numbers to vote on Thursday, August 13, 2026.
Dr. MWAANGA says voters should exercise their constitutional right to elect their preferred President, Members of Parliament, Mayors and local councillors.
He says he has observed that the election campaigns, which end on Wednesday, 12 August, have largely been peaceful.
Dr. MWAANGA has expressed confidence that the counting of votes and declaration of results will also be conducted in an orderly and peaceful manner.
He says Zambia has a proud record of holding peaceful elections and urged citizens to uphold this tradition during the current and future elections.
This is according to a statement made available in Lusaka.
