NKOMBO DARES HICHILEMA: “LEAVE YOUR BWEENGWA MENTALITY FAR FROM ME”.
A video has surfaced in which former Mazabuka Central Member of Parliament Gary Chilala Nkombo tells President Hakainde Hichilema to keep what he describes as the “Bweengwa mentality” away from him.
Referring to President Hichilema, Mr. Nkombo says that if he is disrespected by the Head of State, he will not remain silent.
Mr. Nkombo says he is upset because his 85-year-old mother is being dragged into politics unfairly.
He says his mother should be left out of political attacks and that the “Bweengwa mentality” should remain in Bweengwa.
“Yes, you can say bad things about me. You can talk about my tummy, my face or anything else. Yes, you can say bad things about me, Mr. President, but leave my mother out of your mouth. She is 85 years old. Leave Bweengwa mentality there,” he said.
Meanwhile, some UPND supporters have criticized Mr. Nkombo’s remarks, accusing him of being disrespectful to the person they say gave him a political opportunity when others had rejected him.
Some supporters argue that Mr. Nkombo should be restrained, saying he is openly challenging the President.
Others have called on him to tone down his rhetoric, warning that he may be “playing with fire.”

From good and best friends to bitter enemies, why should that be allowed to be? Nkombo is disrespectful to the President and he is now also involving the people of Bweengwa. If you you have differed with HH, please don’t involve the people of Bweengwa, they have nothing to with your issues with the president. Tomorrow if they squeeze and ask you to show them how Bweengwa mentality look like, you will fail to show them. I don’t know if you have Mazabuka mentality yourself. I for one I am one of the people who are very disappointed with you, I didn’t expect such words we are hearing or reading to come from Garry’s mouth. The President deserves respect, if you can’t or don’t want to respect him, please respect the office he holds. Once more, kindly leave the innocent people of Bweengwa out of your issues, you are just provoking them and if they decide to react, I am sure you won’t like them. Hakainde is your brother and will remain your brother, just go to him with remorse, apologize and reconcile with him, then he will forgive you and it will end there. Pride does not pay, it just destroys people it always comes before the fall.
