WE ARE KILLING DEMOCRACY BY INDUCING LEADERS WHO ARE NOT VOTED BY PEOPLE
Democracy entails that people must take part in a process to elect their own leaders who will take care of their interests.
The recent happenings in Lumezi and Mandevu should worry everyone and no sane person should celebrate frivolous unopposed declarations.
We may surpress people today but for how long, remember that people will only retreat once and once they fight back, state machinery will not be sufficient to stop them.
On the other hand, ECZ must not be promoting political anarchy by approving withdraw of candidates in political race, ECZ must be seen to safeguard democracy. When you impose leaders on majority, you erode the principles of governance.
The two MPs from Lumezi and Mandevu must never walk with their heads high, but walk in shame that they do not represent the aspirations of the people.
President Hakainde Hichilema is being put on hard rocks of possible post presidency prosecutions for the sins of greedy politicians who don’t want democracy to thrive.
Always remember the law of Kharma, what you do today will one day come back and haunt you! Let us protect democracy from mutilation by few greedy people.
