WE ARE READY TO GOVERN, REVIVE THE ECONOMY,’ MUNDUBILE TELLS CHEERING KATUBA CROWD.
NRPUP presidential candidate Brian Mundubile has declared that he and his running mate, Makebi Zulu, are ready to take over government and revive Zambia’s struggling economy if elected.
Addressing supporters in Katuba, Mundubile received what he described as a warm and enthusiastic welcome as he unveiled key promises of his party, including providing farmers with eight bags of fertilizer, expanding free quality education, and introducing bursaries for students in all public universities and colleges.
Mundubile accused the UPND government of failing to deliver on the promises it made during the 2021 elections, arguing that many Zambians are worse off today.
“When you look at your farming inputs, did he fix them? What about mealie meal, free education and fuel prices? Are they down now? He has failed to fix it,” Mundubile told the crowd.
The opposition leader also claimed that President Hakainde Hichilema could no longer rely on the campaign slogan that “Bally will fix it” because, in his view, Zambians had lost confidence in the government’s promises.
“Today he can no longer say ‘Bally will fix it’ because Zambians are tired of lies. That is why my friend Makebi Zulu and I are saying we are ready to govern and move this country forward,” he said.
Mundubile urged Katuba residents to support the NRPUP in the upcoming elections, saying his administration would prioritize lowering the cost of living, strengthening agriculture, and creating opportunities for young people.

You are ready to govern when someone(HH) is already governing. You are promising when him is already doing and giving the people what you are promising them. Even a woman, there is no sane woman who can be wooed by a man who is promising her the same or more things that her man friend is already giving her.
You are ready to take us back to the disaster that was PF. You said free education- not possible, meal allowances – not possible, now everything is possible. where will you get the money to do what you are promising? From reserves – for how long?
NRPUP, you have no message for Zambians. You just want to squander our foreign exchange reserves like you did under your PF. Worse still you want to free criminals from incarceration. We are not prepared to let you do that. I would advise you rebrand completely and rid yourselves any elements of your defunct PF. As for now we are fine with our HH and Nalumango.
