WE CAN’T ALL BE IN GOVERNMENT – WILLIAM BANDA

….As he empowers Nine (9) Women Cooperatives in Munali and Mandevu Constituencies.

United Party for National Development (UPND) National chairperson in charge of special duties Mr William Banda has called upon some party Officials not wait to be appointed in any Government institutions but rather work for the party in order to keep the momentum going.

He stated that it was a responsibility of every Official to play a role in making sure that our lower organs don’t get frustrated.

He made these remarks today when he visited some cooperatives in Munali and Mandevu Constituencies.

Whilst in Mtendere he interacted with members of Mwantangi , leza ngupa, Chikulufye lishina and Lizimo cooperatives where he delivered some Salaula bells to these cooperatives as a starter and was received by Lusaka District Chairlady, Regina Mwanza.

Mr Banda later proceeded to Raphael chota ward in mandevu constituency where he was welcomed by the UPND Mandevu Constituency chairlady Mrs Kumwenda at the UPND Constituency office.

Whilst there , Mr Banda interacted with Mulungu alinafe cooperative based in chaisa ward. Cooperative representative, Mrs Christine Zulu thanked Banda for his guesture and coming to the aid of the cooperative.

And Liseli cooperative based in Justin kabwe ward chairlady Mrs Mercy Chuma thanked Mr Banda for identifying women as a folk point in the development of our country and that women will not deviate from the calls.

Meanwhile Kusebensesya cooperative based in Kabanana Ward led by Mrs Mumba machiko stated that the visit by Mr Banda will boost the cooperative and deliver to the expectations of the leadership.

Meanwhile Kujanta Mbaweni cooperative chairlady Mrs Violent Kumwenda speaking on behalf of other cooperative leaders, asked the Chairperson in charge of special duties to continue supporting women in the Constituency and always be available when needs arises.

Mrs Kumwenda used the opportunity to call upon other leaders to emulate Mr Banda commitment in making sure that women are not left as beggers. She challenged the cooperative leadership not to be stingy but work as a team because more is yet to come.

And UPND National chairperson in charge of Special duties Mr Banda encouraged women to make sure that the little donation must give birth to something that will encourage other leaders to support them.

Mr Banda said he will continue making random visit in order to have facts of how these cooperatives were doing and will continue to support such groups

Mr Banda has embarked on a tour to support cooperatives around the country in order to make them active as they await Government sponsorship.
