Fugitive former Petauke Central Member of Parliament Emmanuel “Jay Jay” Banda has threatened that President Hakainde Hichilema will be harmed before the end of his tenure in 2031.
In a Facebook Live video circulating online, Banda have said that he and his colleagues would “find means and ways” to harm President Hichilema, whom he accused of taking away Brian Mundubile’s alleged electoral victory.
“We will find means and ways to harm him before the end of his tenure in office. He stole the election victory of Brian Mundubile and he does not deserve to live,” Banda is heard saying in the video.
Banda also claimed that a significant number of police officers were financially supporting or receiving money from the Toonse Pamodzi Alliance.
Responding to questions from people commenting during the livestream about the possibility of being arrested for any offence even after a change of government, Banda said that he was not concerned because, according to him, some police officers were allegedly on the alliance’s payroll.
“Many of you must know that most of the Police Officers are on our payroll. We pay them and they will be loyal to us. That is why we get information before your President because everyone wants to work with us,” he stated.

The nerve and arrogance you spout day in day out like a spoilt child seeking his way. Does Zambia belong to you? Does it belong to PF? Zambia belongs to Zambians. They spoke at the ballot. Without tangible proof, there is nothing that you nor those that spout the kind non sense that yoh do will set aside the will of the people.
Among the Petitioning Mps (aside from Ndola and one constitutency in Eastern province) its become evident that the marrative spread by Mundubile and pens played out. Why was money found in pens? Is that not a form of vote buying? And you want to suggest the ruling party was wrong?
You clearly have a mental problem. The persons habouring you have not assessed if you are mentally stable and will soon be a safety hazard to its citizens. Zimbabweans arrested you. Did you not assult a Police officer and urinate on a Journalist? What civil human being behaves like that? You belong in a mental assylum. And its criminal section for that matter.
JJ, what you have said is actually a declaration of war on a country. You can’t threatened a servicing head of state in the manner you have done. I hope you are ready for the consequences of what you just pronounced. You can not hide your face by a finger. Remember, that the person you so much hate also has serious supporters where you are hiding. They see you and one of them may extend a handshake to you to make you realize you are not invisible. It’s saddening to even realize that you saved as Member of Parliament at one point. Moreso people wanted to increase the basic educational qualification beyond form 5. You have exposed yourself and the bad job your parents did bring you up. It would be good to know who they are. I am sure they are very embarrassed people people. They wanted their energy for nothing.
