We’re getting a feeling, people are feeling liberated — Mundubile
BRIAN Mundubile says he has experienced a sharp rise in popularity due to the National Reconciliation Party for Unity and Prosperity—NRPUP’s people-centred policies
Mundubile says his emergence as the main opposition contender in the August elections is a clear indication that Zambians are responding positively and resonating with his message of hope.
Speaking in an interview with BBC’s Dingindaba Buyoya, Mundubile said he gets the feeling that many Zambians see his presence on the ballot as a symbol of liberation
“The high poverty levels, and the oppressive laws that this government has enacted, have made it very difficult for citizens to communicate.
“So, what we are getting is a feeling where people are now feeling liberated. They are calling it the second Independence. Initially, we thought we would be dealing with poverty only. But it looks like the oppressive laws have had a great bearing on the freedoms and rights of citizens, generally,” Mundubile said.
He said the NRPUP manifesto places women and youths at the centre of its policies.
“The difference that Brian Mundubile brings is that I love Zambia, and I love Zambians. If you look at our manifesto, we are focused on Zambians.
“Our manifesto moves women and youths from the margins to the centre of policy and economic transformation, making the youths the main drivers of that economic transformation,” Mundubile said.
He added: “What that means is that we are focused on Zambians. Our policies put Zambians at the centre. And this is the reason why Zambians are responding to our message.”

With HH, Zambia is in safe hands.
The looters had their time during the misrule of the notorious PF regime.
Mr. Mundubile’s promises are nothing but hot air. Even if he is given a third term, he would fail to realise the dreams he is promising, like buying uniforms for learners.
He will ruin the economy like his mentor, Mr. Lungu, did. Then he will unleash party cadres to beat people into line.
Mr. Mundubile is a danger to our country.
