Where Are Morgan Maumela’s Luxury Cars? Four Ferraris, Three Porsches and a Bentley….And The Search Continues!
The Special Investigating Unit (SIU) is intensifying efforts to trace eight outstanding luxury vehicles linked to businessman Hangwani Morgan Maumela amid investigations into alleged corruption and maladministration at Tembisa Hospital.
In a media statement released on 30 October 2026, the SIU revealed that its appointed curator was pursuing information about a Bentley allegedly concealed at a property in Midrand, Johannesburg.
The investigation followed an anonymous whistleblower report alleging that the Bentley, which belongs to Maumela, had been hidden at a property reportedly belonging to an associate.
However, the Bentley was not found at the property during the operation.
And it is not the only luxury vehicle the curator is looking for.
According to the SIU, the eight outstanding vehicles comprise:

🔴 THREE PORSCHES
🔴 ONE BENTLEY
The curator is acting in accordance with previous court orders requiring the vehicles to be placed under the curator’s control.
The SIU explained that a Special Tribunal order issued in October 2025 directed individuals linked to what has been described as the ‘Maumela Syndicate’ to provide a full and frank disclosure, under oath, of their property, assets and funds.
The development comes after the SIU obtained an order to preserve assets valued at R900 million linked to the alleged syndicate last year.
The unit is also tracing and preserving additional properties, assets and funds to give effect to a preservation order valued at R503 million.
The SIU is investigating allegations of corruption and maladministration involving the Gauteng Department of Health and Tembisa Hospital.
It says it will continue pursuing the eight vehicles in accordance with the Special Tribunal order.
The unit also has the power to institute civil proceedings to recover losses suffered by the State, while evidence pointing to possible criminal conduct can be referred to the National Prosecuting Authority for further action.
