We should not lose everything as a country which was in the hands of PF after trusting them with the wealth of this country for seven years .
When state resources are spent on a huge state investments , zambians must know what is happening or what happened after the change of govt , the issue of the lower Zambezi where a hooping $14 million dollars was paid to have mining activities in that area , the PF govt reported having purchased old Russian planes that were meant to open a national airline , unfortunately those planes could not make up to the international standard of attraction and modernity to the aviation industry , the republic of zambia could not meet certain obligations to establish it’s own airline , how the PF govt agreed to enter a deal with the ETHIOPIAN AIRWAYS only someone like EMMANUEL MWAMBA can shed light having served as a diplomat to that country .
The Russian planes that were bought were not publicly and officially recieved in Zambia , we saw a high profile delegate from RUSSIA that had a closed meeting at state house during the regime era , what is compelling to ask is that this deal to join the Ethiopin aviation came at a huge cost , public resources were paid to that country on a govt to govt transaction . What has been the progress after over two years of this matter not yielding any benefits for the country , if the deal went sour where are the planes ?, what happened to the whole deal ,was it another saga as usual in PF?.
We have come to understand that a lot of millions of dollars were being paid to creditors out of this country , transactions don’t lie , we have capable people who were there and have been reappointed and confirmed by the UPND govt . Many people would wish the sleeping dog lay , but this information was given to the country not to know and forget . If these RUSSIAN PLANES are still in ETHIOPIA , it is important to know whether they will never add value to the economy of this country , transformation needs to look at all such aspects in order to accelerate the economic recovery graph .
