CHIVAYO PLAYS PEACEMAKER IN MTUKUDZI FAMILY FEUD — WITH A BRAND-NEW FORTUNER ON THE TABLE
Wicknell Chivayo has stepped into the long-running public feud between Selmor Mtukudzi and her stepmother Daisy, urging the two to put their differences aside as he prepares to hand over a spectacular package of gifts.
In a public message to Selmor, Chivayo urged her to call Daisy and ask her to accompany her to see Madzibaba Chipaga next Monday to collect a brand-new 2026 Toyota Fortuner 2.4 GD-6, which he said has already been fully paid for and is ready for collection.
Selmor is also set to receive US$20,000 cash for fuel, while Daisy will receive a separate US$20,000 gift for her personal upkeep.
The cash gifts were not presented as a condition for reconciliation.
But Chivayo used the occasion to make an emotional appeal to Selmor, telling her that “life is too short to hate one another and hold generational grudges.”
The message comes against the backdrop of a bitter and highly publicised spat between Daisy and Selmor, who have previously traded barbs in public amid tensions within the Mtukudzi family.
Chivayo also praised Selmor for carrying forward the musical legacy of her late father, legendary musician Oliver Mtukudzi, while carving out her own identity.
And now he wants the stepmother and stepdaughter to make the trip together.
The next chapter of the Mtukudzi family saga could therefore begin with an unlikely scene: Daisy and Selmor side by side, heading to collect a brand-new Fortuner and two separate US$20,000 gifts.
Mr. “Wicked” Chuvayo knows only one solution to every problem, throw money at the problem.
It makes the recipients appear so cheap.
