You’ll be witches if you follow Mundubile and Makebi, UPND’s Frank Tayali scares voters
FORMER Minister of Transport and Logistics Frank Tayali has claimed that Zambians who choose to follow Tonse Pamodzi Alliance leaders Brian Mundubile and Makebi Zulu would become “witches.”
Speaking at a campaign rally addressed by President Hakainde Hichilema in Ndola on Wednesday, Tayali said it was un-Zambian for Mundubile and Makebi to continue campaigning while former President Edgar Lungu remains unburied in South Africa.
Tayali further argued that President Hakainde Hichilema had done everything possible to ensure that Lungu was buried at Embassy Park alongside Zambia’s other former Heads of State.
“You Zambians should not be changing goal posts anyhow. If you trust and follow those guys you will become witches,” Tayali told supporters.
He maintained that President Hichilema had done nothing wrong in the matter, insisting that the Head of State had worked hard to secure what he described as a dignified burial for his predecessor.
“Hakainde Hichilema is a human being. There is nothing wrong he has done. He fought so hard to ensure that Lungu is buried among his fellow fallen Heads of State,” Tayali said.
He also criticised Mundubile and Makebi, saying they were seeking to succeed Lungu politically while, according to him, failing to ensure the late former president was buried.
“They want to succeed Edgar Lungu but have left him in a fridge. That’s unZambian,” Tayali said.
