You’re going back to Mufumbwe and Kasenseli; you deserve better, Mundubile tells Solwezi youths
NRPUP presidential candidate Brian Mundubile has assured the people of Solwezi, particularly youths involved in mining, that no one will intimidate them with guns as they seek to earn a living from Zambia’s natural resources.
Addressing a rally, Mundubile pledged that his government would return Mufumbwe and Kasenseli mining opportunities to local people, insisting that Zambians deserve to benefit from the country’s mineral wealth.
“You’re going back to Mufumbwe and Kasenseli. Youths, you deserve better. No gun will be pointed at you as you strive to earn a living from your country’s natural resources.
This is a commitment Makebi Zulu and I are making to you,” he said.
Mundubile further promised to introduce a public holiday dedicated to miners, saying the day would provide an opportunity to discuss the challenges they face at home, at work and in their overall wellbeing.
