Zambians know who hurt them, and who healed them, Miti argues Nalumango’s Mpika rally didn’t flop
UPND Alliance deputy spokesman Edmond Mbanga Miti says the opposition needs to make up its mind and stick to one narrative whether the UPND is a “broke and stingy” party, or it is “loaded and generous”.
Miti says the opposition has been accusing the ruling party of both in the very same breath, completely blind to their own glaring contradictions.
He observed that when the opposition gathers people, they boast of popularity but that when the UPND Alliance draws massive, overwhelming crowds of citizens, they cry foul and claim the people are “rented.”
“They seem to have forgotten a fundamental truth about the Zambian people: our citizens are not commodities to be bought; they are human beings who remember who hurt them and who healed them.
“The magnificent crowds you see gathering to meet President Hakainde Hichilema are not paid. They are earned.
“Look closely at those crowds. They are not nameless faces; they are the living, breathing testimonies of a transformed Zambia
“They are the parents who no longer wake up at 4:00 AM with tears in their eyes, wondering where school fees will come from, because this government made education a fundamental right, not a luxury,”he said.
He explained that the UPND Alliance is not panicking as it is grounded in the reality of its delivery.
Miti accused the opposition of desperately trying to spin a narrative of “panic” because President Hichilema is working late into the night.
He says the President’s drive remains unmatched.
