Zelensky Blames Poor Military Coordination for Ukraine’s Leadership Shake-Up
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said that months of poor coordination between the country’s commander-in-chief and the Ministry of Defense prompted the recent overhaul of Ukraine’s military leadership, arguing that the lack of cooperation delayed critical wartime decisions.
In an interview with Sky News, Zelensky said one of the most significant consequences of the breakdown in coordination was the delay in addressing mobilization efforts, which he described as one of Ukraine’s greatest challenges as the war continues.
“I don’t have time to listen to one side and then the other. They should be meeting not every day, but every hour until our skies are protected. I shouldn’t have to determine who is right and who is wrong,” Zelensky said.
The Ukrainian leader stressed that effective communication and rapid decision-making are essential to strengthening the country’s defenses, particularly as Ukraine continues to seek greater protection against Russian aerial attacks and improve the organization of its armed forces.
