Zelensky Calls for Sanctions on Foreign Components Used in Russian Missiles
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has called on international partners to strengthen sanctions aimed at preventing Russia from obtaining foreign microchips and other advanced technologies used in the production of ballistic missiles.
Zelensky said Ukraine’s air defenses faced a severe shortage of interceptor missiles in July, claiming that only 29 of 195 Russian ballistic missiles launched during the month were intercepted.
He urged allies to tighten export controls and close supply channels that allow critical foreign components to reach Russia’s defense industry.
