Zelensky proposes an aerial ceasefire and an energy truce to Russia
Presidential adviser Mykhailo Podolyak said that Volodymyr Zelensky is offering Russia a mutual ceasefire, an energy truce and a ceasefire on the current front line.
After that, Ukraine is ready to start formal negotiations.
Points of the proposal:
– Ceasefire: Suspension of air strikes and attacks on energy on both sides
– Front: Freezing of current military positions
– Diplomacy: Opening to formal negotiations and Zelensky says he is ready to meet directly with Vladimir Putin
Context:
This is the first time in a long time that Kiev has publicly proposed a partial truce format before direct talks with Moscow.
