ZELENSKY SAYS RUSSIA LAUNCHED “BRUTAL” OVERNIGHT ATTACK ON UKRAINE
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Russia carried out a “brutal” attack across Ukraine, causing significant damage to civilian infrastructure and residential buildings.
According to Zelensky, nine-story residential buildings, a university facility, a shopping center and a heating plant were damaged. He said at least five people were injured and some residents were evacuated.
In Lozova, Kharkiv region, a woman was reportedly killed in a drone strike, while three other people were injured.
Zelensky said Russian forces struck 10 Ukrainian regions during the evening and throughout the night.
The Ukrainian president called on the international community to take action against Russia, arguing that Moscow is “not backing down in its escalation” and is sending signals that it is prepared to further expand the war.
