Zelensky Says Russia Preparing to Receive 30,000 More North Korean Troops
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said intelligence indicates that Russia is preparing to receive up to 30,000 additional North Korean troops to support its military campaign in Ukraine.
According to Zelensky, Russia has been preparing facilities in the Voronezh region to accommodate the new deployment. He also claimed that North Korea is expected to provide additional missile launch systems as military cooperation between Moscow and Pyongyang continues to expand.
The statement follows earlier deployments of North Korean personnel to Russia, including troops reportedly involved in operations near the Kursk region.
The reported buildup is expected to draw increased international scrutiny as concerns grow over the deepening military partnership between Russia and North Korea.
