ZELENSKYY TO MEET TRUMP AT THE WHITE HOUSE AS UKRAINE PUSHES FOR STRONGER U.S. COOPERATION

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is expected to meet U.S. President Donald Trump at the White House on July 28, according to multiple U.S. media outlets citing American officials. The visit is also expected to coincide with Zelenskyy’s attendance at the funeral of Senator Lindsey Graham, one of Ukraine’s strongest supporters in Congress.

While the White House has not publicly outlined the agenda, the meeting comes at a pivotal moment in the war.

Russia has intensified its missile and drone attacks on Ukrainian cities, while Ukraine has dramatically expanded its long-range strike campaign against Russian military infrastructure, logistics hubs, and energy facilities. At the same time, Kyiv continues to press for stronger air defenses, expanded defense cooperation, and sustained economic pressure on Moscow.

The timing is also significant because it follows President Zelenskyy’s announcement that he had instructed Ukraine’s intelligence services to share information with the United States regarding Russia’s reported assistance to Iran, including intelligence related to satellite imagery and military cooperation.

The two leaders last met earlier this month on the sidelines of the NATO Summit in Ankara, where discussions focused on Ukraine’s defense needs and the broader security situation in Europe.

This upcoming meeting will likely be closely watched around the world

With the war entering another critical phase, every high-level discussion between Kyiv and Washington carries strategic importance—not only for Ukraine’s immediate defense but also for the future direction of Western support.

As Russia continues to escalate its attacks, Ukraine is strengthening its partnerships. The meeting between Zelenskyy and Trump will be more than a diplomatic engagement—it will be another opportunity to shape the next chapter of U.S.-Ukrainian cooperation at a decisive moment in the war.
