Zimbabwean-born Themba Gorimbo has a life story that has taken him from difficult circumstances in Zimbabwe to South Africa and eventually onto the international mixed martial arts stage.
He has spoken about arriving in South Africa without legal immigration status as a young man and taking on different jobs to survive. Through determination and hard work, he eventually pursued mixed martial arts and earned an opportunity to compete in the UFC.
His journey attracted worldwide attention in 2023 when Hollywood superstar Dwayne Johnson, popularly known as The Rock, surprised him with a house in Miami after learning about his financial struggles.
Having stepped away from professional fighting, Gorimbo is now exploring new ways to earn a living in the United States.
He recently shared how he combines Uber Eats deliveries with his personal training business. Instead of simply dropping off food, he uses some customer interactions to introduce his fitness services. One encounter reportedly resulted in a customer signing up for home personal training
