PRESIDENT HAKAINDE HICHILEMA SUSPENDS THREE JUDGES OF THE CONSTITUTIONAL COURT.
President Hakainde Hichilema has with immediate effect, acting on the recommendation in the report presented to him by the Judicial Complaints Commission Suspended three (3) Judges of the Constitution Court of Zambia.
The Suspended Judges include Justice Annie Sitali, Justice Mungeni Mulenga and Justice Palan Mulonda.
The Suspension of the three is in exercise of the powers vested in the President in Article 144 (3) of the Constitution of the Republic of Zambia.
It pays to be upright in the execution of duties even in the face of threats of dismissal by those that twist the law for their benefit, usually defeating the purpose of the law in delivering justice.
Let their be the real rule of the law and not rule of emotions.
What are the reasons for their suspension?
It won’t help Hichilema. Still more he’s going to lose in 2026 even if he avoids Lungu. But he should not think that the Lungu camp is so dull and dumb, they will also react because they know that Hichilema wants to appoint other judges that will vote against Lungu’s eligibility case. But it’s too late , whatever Hichilema does will not work in his favour because even God is against him, especially after despising the day of prayer on October 18! Which he has shunned for the past 3 years, as head of state!
Ba Mandanda, leave God out of your rants. The day of prayer should be scrapped from the calender. Its presence is like shaking our collective fist in God’s face, pretending to pray and reconcile when all we do on this day is indulge in heavy drinking of Jameson.

One of the judges was woken up in the wee hours of the morning by a known political figure to facilitate the ascendancy to the presidency of PF one Mr. Edgar Chagwa Lungu. This one should even lose her pension because what she did was thoroughly disgraceful.
