Iran rejects Trump’s claim that Tehran agreed to hand over its enriched uranium stockpile

TEHRAN — Iran’s Foreign Ministry has officially denied claims by U.S. President Donald Trump that Tehran agreed to transfer its enriched uranium to the United States, describing the material as “sacred” and ruling out any handover.

The denial, issued by Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei and reported by the semi-official Tasnim news agency, came in direct response to statements Trump made online.

“Enriched uranium is as sacred to us as Iranian soil and will not be transferred anywhere under any circumstances,” Baghaei was quoted as saying.

The diplomatic clash stems from a post Trump made on the social media platform Truth Social, in which he asserted the existence of a cashless arrangement for nuclear material.

“The U.S.A. will get all Nuclear ‘Dust,’ created by our great B2 Bombers – No money will exchange hands in any way, shape, or form,” Trump wrote.

In the same post, the President outlined major U.S. foreign policy directives regarding the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, declaring an immediate end to Israeli military operations in Lebanon.

“Israel will not be bombing Lebanon any longer. They are PROHIBITED from doing so by the U.S.A. Enough is enough!!!” Trump stated.

The President clarified that his claims regarding the nuclear material were “in no way subject to Lebanon.” However, he noted that the United States will separately engage with the Lebanese government to address the militant group Hezbollah.

“The USA will, separately, work with Lebanon, and deal with the Hezbollah situation in an appropriate manner,” Trump added, using his own spelling for the group.
