KAMBWILI WARNS AGAINST VOTING FOR UPND
Citizens First parliamentary candidate for Roan Constituency, Dr. Chishimba Kambwili, has urged Zambians not to vote for the UPND in the upcoming general elections, arguing that a second term would worsen the economic hardships facing many households.
Addressing supporters during a campaign engagement, Kambwili used the Bemba expression “Mukatifye ka John aka nakena akakene eko twalalya,” suggesting that Zambians would end up “eating their own children” if they re-elect the ruling party.
The outspoken politician, who recently endorsed Citizens First presidential candidate Harry Kalaba and returned to contest the Roan seat under Citizens First, said voters should use the August polls to choose a new direction for the country.

The reality is that the UPND government under the leadership of President Hakainde Hichilema has performed better compared to the previous PF regime. While challenges still exist, the government has made significant efforts to create a conducive environment for economic growth and national development.
What opposition political parties should be telling the people is that the critical role of any responsible government anywhere in the world is to create an enabling social and economic environment through sound socio-economic policies and effective implementation strategies. This is what the UPND government has attempted to do and continues to do.
On the other hand, the people of Zambia should not remain idle. They must also work hard to transform their own lives by actively participating in economic empowerment programmes, venturing into farming, entrepreneurship, and other innovative initiatives that can improve their livelihoods.
The mentality held by some political party leaders of misleading citizens into believing that they should always look up to the government to provide everything for them is a false narrative. Citizens should develop transformed mindsets and move away from excessive dependence on government support.
Always waiting for the government to do everything for the people promotes a dependency syndrome, discourages self-reliance, and deters innovative solutions to personal and community challenges. Sustainable development can only be achieved when government creates opportunities and citizens take the initiative to utilize those opportunities to improve their own lives and contribute to national progress.
Well articulated.
Thanks
Well said “KNOWLEDGE.” Spot on.
Mr. Kambwili the demagogue at his best.
