State House Chief Communication Specialist Clayson Hamasaka says comments attributed to presidential biographer Chella Tukuta, allegedly threatening people who supported the Tonse Alliance, do not in any way represent the position of Government.
Mr. Hamasaka says Mr. Tukuta should be allowed to express himself and make whatever comments he wishes, including on Facebook, but stresses that his views should not be interpreted as Government policy or the official position of the State.
He says despite having divergent political views, every Zambian has the right to be employed or appointed to public positions, provided they meet the necessary requirements.
Mr. Hamasaka says there are many UPND members who comment on various issues, but their individual views should not automatically be construed as Government positions.
