A DEEP THOUGHT ABOUT THE UPND RUNNING MATE
Zambians are geared to know who the running mates are to the two main political parties namely: the PF under president Edgar Lungu and UPND under president Hakainde Hichilema. Yesterday many got a rude shock to see Mr. Lungu settling for madam Nkandu Luo as a running mate. It is a situation which has caused a political diarrhea in the PF camp. The future is unknown as others lose hope of the PF’s future.
On the other side the eleventh hour move by Mr. KBF and Mr. Mutati to work with the main strong opposition leader HH has made others suggest that a running mate should come from alliance partners since it is an alliance. Very interesting suggestions there. Most commentators fronting KBF and Mutati as possible running mate.
Now, here are some key issues that each one of us should not ignore as we make these suggestions and be expectant of any thing tomorrow, but most importantly to accept whatever comes out and soldier on.
1. KBF and Mutati are not the only alliance partners. We have the Charles Milupi and Akafumba’s under the NDC. Take note of that. Because if we are to go by alliances it would be not fair for HH to ignore those guys, especially that they have been with him for quite some time.
2. Their resolutions. Since we don’t know what their resolutions were in those meetings, we can only speculate. Can you imagine if all alliance members have said colleagues let us settle for our sister Mutale Nalumango and fight this battle as men with one common goal. The question is, are we going to call HH selfish that he has not given alliance partners a chance? I don’t think so. We are all blank of what point of agreement is on the table, it’s better we leave a room for disappointment tomorrow. I personally don’t expect a condition being attached by our brothers KBF and Mutati at this crucial hour. All we want is to remove the Pompous Edgar Lungu and his minions who feel they are small gods and they can turn our nation upside down.
Taking all these issues into consideration, I advise we all remain calm and expect anything at that point. Therefore, let us all accept the results without accusing anyone for anything. Our goal is to restore Zambia and make it a great nation once again. We need everyone who is against PF. This cruel regime must go come August. We want our freedom as Zambians and respect for the rule of law as well as our Republican Constitution which they have taken as toilet paper.
As I conclude, all I can say is that may God guide HH and his team when choosing the running mate. This is a crucial situation, we are in a pact with Alliance Partners of course but this situation needs wisdom from above, so the inner and external circle of HH including us independent commentators should not mislead him and I believe he is a smart man. Besides, we need numbers and everyone who can pull the rug out of PFs feet is needed on board. We need strategists. Removing PF from power is no mean achievement, or a walk in a park whilst smiling. These people are ready to do anything even spilling innocent blood just to retain power . We are aware of Kaizer Zulu, Antonio Mwanza and others finalizing on their criminal activities to engage in manipulating elections.
We are watching you closely guys and soon justice will visit you. Don’t think in those corners you are hiding we have no clue, we know. We are also aware of a group of the IT individual criminals stationed in one of the compounds in Lusaka purported to be from Nigeria. Soon we will be there.
